The Bouchards formed in 2007 when guitarists Bill Preib and Dennis Tevlin teamed up with ex Rank and File drummer Bob Kahr and former Tracy Chapman bassist Andy Stoller to rehearse and record new songs penned by Preib and Tevlin. The quartet began recording the basic tracks for what would become “High Water Line” and performing occasional live shows in Seattle.
Coinciding with the release of “High Water Line” in 2008, two veterans of Seattle’s alt country music scene – Geoff Duncan and “Country Dave” Harmonson – joined the band. The Bouchards have since become a fan favorite, headlining local music festivals such as Northwest Folklife, Seattle Hempfest, and the Fremont Oktoberfest, and popular Seattle venues such as the Tractor, the Little Red Hen, and the Sunset.
The Bouchards feature Dennis Tevlin on guitars and vocals, Bill Preib on guitars and vocals, Bob Kahr on drums and vocals, Dave Harmonson on pedal and lap steel guitars, and Geoff Duncan on bass guitar.
